Shae shows his class

Shae Thakker demonstrated his class again at the Club’s Festive Grand Prix. A fun, but still competitive event, a prelude to the Christmas break, saw a good entry of 16 players split into four groups of four. All four groups went according to seeding with Shae, Graham Trimming, Elroy Hull and Chris Collins coming out on top.

​

In the semi-finals, Graham was extended to a fourth game by Chris but Shae swept past Elroy 3-0 and then did the same to Graham in the final. Elroy beat Chris for third place .. just - 11-7 in the fifth.

​

All in all, a great way to close before Christmas and thanks to Naomi Hayes and Meg Ashfield for the organisation and for serving the welcome mulled wine and mince pies!
