Senior British League 3rd weekend - 15 February 2020

Under-strength Cippenham defeated twice

An under-strength Cippenham team, missing stalwart Rob Hansell, fell to consecutive defeats when the third weekend, this time just one day, of the Senior British League took place. Zero points from the day saw Cippenham fall two places to sixth in National Division B-4 but are still well clear of the bottom and anything other than a calamity will still see the team finish above the relegation places when the season concludes in April.

Three wins for team captain Martin Adams, including a doubles in tandem with Shae Thakker, and a solitary win for Steve Munson was not enough to earn any points in the morning match against Horsham Spinners and the final result was 5-4 in the Sussex team’s favour. Adams and Thakker both beat Mark Collins while Thakker also beat Daniel Pound.
